This week students are working on their first creative projects. They are dealing w/ scale in 2D and are making some fabulous collages. I can't wait to see what they come up with!
Here are some inspiring works from contemporary and modern art that deal with scale:
Sophie in the restaraunt Le Germaine from French artist Xavier Veilhan.
Work on paper from installation at UCLA/Armand Hammer Museum, Los Angeles by Margaret Kilgallen
Das schöne Mädchen (The Beautiful Girl, 1919-1920) by Hannah Höch.
Students in the CCV 2D Design Online class have made their own Blogs! Click through from links on the right. This week we are considering Unity as a design concept.
This blog is the new meeting space for our Spring 2010 online 2D Design class. We will post student projects, exciting design ideas and other interesting visual material. Thanks for stopping by!
